Ok, so the central idea of this song (so far) is childishness.
G-Dragon is the stubborn and thoughtless facet of a boy. He starts out declaring that the girl loves him—but before he even finishes his sentence, he quickly apologizes for something that the listeners are not aware of. He wants to seem assertive and proud, but he is just a little boy. Through his sudden “ok fine, whatever, I don’t care” sort of diction, it’s clear that his words are not well-thought out. Ok, so the central idea of this song (so far) is childishness.
G-Dragon is the stubborn and thoughtless facet of a boy. He starts out declaring that the girl loves him—but before he even finishes his sentence, he quickly apologizes for something that the listeners are not aware of. He wants to seem assertive and proud, but he is just a little boy. Through his sudden “ok fine, whatever, I don’t care” sort of diction, it’s clear that his words are not well-thought out. The speaker is unbelievably simplistic in his ideas (“bad boy” and “good girl”: girl vs. boy, good vs. bad, child-level alliteration). This parallels the song ‘Blue,’ in which its speaker admits that he cannot handle complicated thoughts.
He thinks about the disappointment that ‘would’ have surmounted from spending more time together, which serves as a self-justification to the damage he caused with his thoughtless “Fine, just leave.”
Taeyang is the dependent and the more honest facet. He childishly blames the girl for everything (“Why are you doing this to me?”), but admits that he actually wishes that the girl would stay.
